Wood Anemones

I don't have time to sit, but I do have time to visit the patches of flowers by the creek and confirm my suspicion that they are wood anemones. Who wouldn't want to visit wood anemones in bloom? I bike over and head towards the patch. But I'm confused. Those plants are different–they look like bishop's cap. I turn and survey the area. Where are they? Delicate leaves, white flowers…I look down. Oh. I'm nearly standing on them. Thankfully, I haven't trampled them in my rush to find them.
